CHRIS KASPER · MASTERING ENGINEER
Twenty-five years of professional audio experience and more than 300 albums mastered, now focused on carefully selected projects for independent artists.
Chris Kasper has worked in nearly every major corner of professional audio: as a professional musician, live sound engineer, broadcast audio engineer in radio and television, college-level audio engineering instructor, commercial A/V integrator and mastering engineer.
That background changes the way he listens. He understands the record from the performer’s side, the production and delivery chain from the engineer’s side, and the practical reality that music must communicate through everything from earbuds and cars to clubs, broadcast systems and carefully tuned listening rooms.
Mastering at Ghostown Studios is not a preset, an assembly line or a handoff to a junior engineer. Chris handles every project directly, listens to the release as a whole and makes only the decisions the music actually needs.

Radio and television engineering reinforced the importance of translation, intelligibility, reliability and delivering audio that works outside a controlled studio environment.
Teaching audio engineering at the college level sharpened the ability to explain technical decisions clearly—without hiding behind jargon or treating clients like students.
Designing and integrating professional audio systems added a systems-level view of gain structure, monitoring, acoustics and playback across radically different spaces.
DIRECT COMMUNICATION
Ghostown is intentionally small and books a limited schedule. Tell Chris what you are releasing, how it will be heard and what the finished record needs to accomplish.
